SEPTEMBER 2009

21 – 25, Mon. – Fri. > “Be Bright, Be Bold.” Kathleen Elsey takes her workshop to Taos, New Mexico.

Make bold paintings using composition, light, value, and color. Simplify and organize those complex landscapes you’ve always wanted to paint. We’ll practice looking more clearly to see shapes and colors. You’ll get tips to work the paint thick and wet through demonstrations, discussions and individual instruction. We’ll meet each morning in our studio just off the main square in Taos, then we’ll venture out and paint the town. We’ll explore and paint the high road to Taos and spend time in villages like Dixon and Hondo to capture their spirit on canvas. For more information contact Kathleen at 805-569-0542 or kathleen@elsey.com or visit www.elsey.com. $525 per person.
